please, Mommy, please!

The shopping carts made for mothers shopping with children that have a little car on the front with cramped space for 2 children to sit in and pretend to drive while mommy pushes are evil.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Do you agree or disagree?

Evil. Definitely evil.

Totally agree! Before we even get to the store we tell them we are NOT using the car cart.

Although I am not a mom, when I was still a nanny the two lil boys liked to be pushed around in one of those when we went to the store...I could barely push it so I agree!!!! EVIL!!!

I'm not a mommy, but I'm going with the evil option:).

Well...in the olden days :)...we had no such evil!! Just the good 'ole shopping cart--that kids would stand up & flip out(such as Todd!)...not sure--but probably my first heart attack! mums the word!

Totally evil, Nanette. Especially when one needs groceries for a family of 9 considering the basket of the cart holds about 2 gallons of milk and not much more. You nailed this one! The kids are on top of each other, there's no room for groceries, and the carts make the few items you do pick up difficult to unload at the checkouts. But then, nowadays, I get to do my grocery shopping without the accompaniment of children so maybe I should change my vote as it does make me smile to see harried, young mothers trying to shop with those. :) I guess that makes me evil too...

I have never tried to push one, so I can't say. But I do wonder - what happened to the mini carts where kids could push their own cart beside you? You know the ones where they could act responsible and be a "big" person with real food in their cart and learn to stay right beside Mommy...without having to be strapped in place....

I remember using those when I was little...where did they go?

Tiffany, the last store I remember around here that had those kid-sized carts was Laneco and they shut down maybe 10 years ago. I loved those when I was little. Or my mom would let me bring my plastic shopping cart from home. I loved going grocery shopping with my mom. Good memories:)

The little grocery carts are evil as well (at least from the mother's perspective). They have those at the grocery store where we used to do all of our shopping and my "fondest" memories of them were of my children attempting to sever my achilles tendon while "following" mommy with their carts. Though they did love them. :)
